Triple glazed fixed and picture windows in Briton Ferry
From the first measure to the handover pack, we handle triple glazed fixed and picture windows for homes in Briton Ferry and the rest of West Glamorgan.
Large fixed panes in triple glazing, with the lift planned. A fixed or picture window does not open; it is one large pane in a slim frame, used to frame a view or bring in light.
Winter light and glass choice in Briton Ferry
Winter days in Briton Ferry are short: about 7 h 48 min of daylight on 21 December, with the sun peaking near 15°. That low angle reaches deep into south-facing rooms, so we match the glass to each elevation rather than using one spec for the whole house.

Rules for fixed and picture windows in Wales
In Wales, replacement windows must meet 1.4 W/m²K, or a Window Energy Rating of band B or better. As in England, replacement windows are a controlled fitting: a competent person scheme installer self-certifies the work, or building control approves it.
Planning: Householder permitted development rules do not cover flats, and councils can remove rights with Article 4 directions. Listed buildings need listed building consent. Check with your council before changing the style or material.
How it works
You will know exactly what you are buying: the quote states the unit build-up, frame, finish, fitting work and how Building Regulations compliance is handled. On fitting day each opening is replaced and closed up before the team moves on.
- Every opening measured, including escape and vent needs
- Frames rated for the weight of triple glass
- Old windows removed and taken away
- Each opening closed up the same day
