Triple glazed fixed and picture windows in Banbridge
If you live in Banbridge (BT32) and want triple glazed fixed and picture windows, start with a free survey: every opening measured, then a written quote that fixes the price.
Large fixed panes in triple glazing, with the lift planned. A fixed or picture window does not open; it is one large pane in a slim frame, used to frame a view or bring in light.
Winter light and glass choice in Banbridge
Winter days in Banbridge are short: about 7 h 18 min of daylight on 21 December, with the sun peaking near 12°. That low angle reaches deep into south-facing rooms, so we match the glass to each elevation rather than using one spec for the whole house.

Rules for fixed and picture windows in Northern Ireland
In Northern Ireland, replacement windows must meet 1.6 W/m²K, or a Window Energy Rating of band C or better. Replacing windows or external doors does not need full plans or a building notice, but the work must still comply; enlarging an opening or other structural change needs building control approval.
Before ordering: Check with your council planning office before changing the style, material or size of windows or doors, and always for listed buildings, conservation areas and flats.
How it works
The surveyor measures every opening, checks ventilation, escape windows and safety-glass zones, and talks through styles. Your written quote lists each item with its glass build-up and U-value, and the price is fixed for that specification.

Questions from Banbridge
How heavy is a large triple glazed pane?
Roughly 30 kg per square metre with 4 mm glass, more with thicker or laminated panes. A 3 m by 2 m unit can weigh around 180 kg.
Do fixed windows need trickle vents?
The room still needs ventilation. If the fixed window replaces one with vents, ventilation must be provided another way, for example a vented frame or an adjacent opener.
Do I need permission for triple glazed fixed and picture windows in Banbridge?
In Northern Ireland, check with your council planning office before changing the style, material or size of windows, and always for listed buildings and flats. Check whether your street is in a conservation area or covered by an Article 4 direction before changing the style.
How long does it take to get triple glazed fixed and picture windows fitted in Banbridge?
After the survey, typical manufacture time is 4 to 8 weeks, and most homes are fitted in 1 to 4 days.
