Triple glazing for period homes and conservation areas in Angus and Dundee
We survey and fit period-style triple glazing across Angus and Dundee, from Dundee and Arbroath to smaller towns such as Carnoustie.

Heritage-style frames and plain advice on consents. In a conservation area, replacing windows on a house is often permitted development if the new windows look similar to the old ones, but councils can remove those rights with an Article 4 direction.

Rules in Scotland
The rules for replacement windows in Scotland are set by the Building Standards Technical Handbook (Domestic), section 6: 1.6 W/m²K. Replacing a window or door, frame and all, does not need a building warrant, but the work must still meet the building standards.
Planning: Since May 2024, replacement windows on houses are widely permitted development, including in many conservation areas, with front elevations expected to match the existing closely; your council tells you if prior notification applies. Flats outside conservation areas generally need permission only if the opening size changes. Listed buildings need listed building consent.
How it works
After the free survey you get a written quote naming the frame system, the glass build-up and the whole-window U-value for every item. Windows are made to order, then fitted, sealed and made good, one opening at a time.
- Free survey and a written quote fixed for the specification
- Glass build-up and whole-window U-value on every quote
- Written handover pack at the end of the job
- Guarantees on frames, units and fitting in writing
