Triple glazed composite front doors in Lincolnshire
Homes across Lincolnshire, including Lincoln, Grimsby and Gainsborough, can have triple glazed composite front doors measured, made to order and fitted.

Insulated composite doors with triple glazed panels and PAS 24 locks. A composite front door has a solid insulated core, usually timber or foam, under a tough glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) skin, with a multi-point lock.

Rules in England
England sets replacement door limits through Approved Document L (2021 edition, with 2023 amendments): 1.4 W/m²K, or a door set energy rating of band C (more than 60% glazed) or band B (other doors). Replacement external doors fall under the same energy rules: a competent person scheme installer (such as FENSA or Certass) self-certifies the work and notifies the council, or a building control body approves it.
Planning: Replacing doors on a house is normally permitted development if the new ones look similar. Flats need planning permission for a change that alters their appearance, an Article 4 direction may mean permission is needed, and listed buildings need listed building consent.
How it works
After the free survey you get a written quote naming the frame system, the glass build-up and the whole-window U-value for every item. Windows are made to order, then fitted, sealed and made good, one opening at a time.
- Every opening measured, including escape and vent needs
- Frames rated for the weight of triple glass
- Old windows removed and taken away
- Each opening closed up the same day
Questions
Are composite doors secure?
Good ones are tested to PAS 24 and fitted with anti-snap cylinders. We specify both.
Is triple glazing worth it in a front door?
The glass is the weakest part of a composite door for heat loss, so triple glazing the panels helps most when the door has large glazed areas or side panels.
How much does a triple glazed composite door cost?
Our guide starts at £1,395 fitted for a single door and £1,995 with one side panel, inc VAT. UK quotes range from about £800 for a basic door to £3,000 with side panels.

Do I need permission for triple glazed composite front doors in England?
In England, a replacement door on a house that looks similar is normally permitted development; flats need permission if the change alters their appearance, Article 4 areas may need permission, and listed buildings need listed building consent.
